काठमाडौं । चर्चित संगीतकार शिवकुमार शर्माको निधन भएको छ । उनी एक प्रसिद्ध सन्तूर वादक थिए।

उनी हरिप्रसाद चौरसियासँग जोडिएका थिए र शिव-हरि जोडीले धेरै फिल्महरूमा संगीत दिएका थिए। शिवकुमार शर्मा ८४ वर्षका थिए र धेरै रोगबाट पीडित थिए ।

Sad to know about the demise of Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma, eminent Santoor player and internationally celebrated Indian music composer. His departure impoverishes our cultural world. My deepest condolences.

उनी विगत केही महिनादेखि डायलासिसमा थिए । रिपोर्टका अनुसार उनको मृत्यु कार्डियक अरेस्टका कारण भएको हो ।

शिव-हरि जोडीले सिलसिला, लम्हे र चाँदनी लगायत धेरै लोकप्रिय चलचित्रहरूमा संगीत रचना गरे।

Our cultural world is poorer with the demise of Pandit Shivkumar Sharma Ji. He popularised the Santoor at a global level. His music will continue to enthral the coming generations. I fondly remember my interactions with him. Condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti.
